They are trained in specializations such as Anti-Submarine Warfare, Navigation, Communications, Gunnery and Diving. With consistent performance one could become a Commanding Officer of an Aircraft Carrier, Destroyer, Guided Missile Frigate, and Conventional/Nuclear Submarine.
The executive officer plays a very important role in the navy. The jobs that are done by executive officers are a little bit tough, so there is a lot to practice and gain excellence in the job because he/she must be the main character of wartime.
They are responsible for all the technical work like proper working and maintaining of equipment of the ships, submarine and naval aircraft.
The educational officer supports the crew by providing them various training, instructions, and suggestions regarding the Navy.They also teach technical and service subjects to the students pursuing B.Tech at INA.
