An environmental scientist is an expert who specialises in studying climate change. As an environmental scientist, you will study different factors that are causing damage to the environment (air, land and sea).
You will study the effect of pollution on earth life (humans and non-humans). You will study different ecosystems and help the government develop environmental laws, regulations, and rules.
Most of the environmental engineering jobs are full time. You will mostly work from office when you are working with other engineers, city, and urban developer planners as you are mostly planning new projects. However, if you are involved with some site works like hazardous material removal sire, etc. you are required to be on the site.
